In the event of a chance for him to have access to his skills in The Games, I have this permission post is preemptively asking about reading minds. Any other of Charles' skills will be asked about prior to use (ie: messing with the senses, changing up perception, mind control). Feel free to use the form below or wing it :)
I do expect, with full access to powers, there to be several characters that he cannot read the minds of (due to species traits, powers of their own, etc).
Also feel free to ask any questions/comments/etc regarding his skills here.

Mayfield Permissions;

Please note that due to the condition of Mayfield, he receives his abilities back in pieces. However, I am looking to receive full permissions so I don't have to seek out permissions every time he receives more of his skills.
Also note that while Charles can go tromping around in minds, he doesn't typically unless necessary.
* Non-human/superpowers: Charles is able to sense other mutants. To a degree, he would be able to tell if someone is not completely human.

[ Charles was someone who adjusted easily to most situations, but this wasn't what he would call most situations. He didn't have his powers, his clothing, or anything that would really be of much use of him when he arrived. He didn't even get his own chair when he arrived, which complicated things. Still, he treated it like most things - something that he could overcome, and that would definitely get better.
And now that the the work-day had ended, he decided to visit the library. There was something soothing about being outside. He hadn't yet visited, and he figured it would be a good chance for him to find things to keep himself busy when he was having trouble sleeping at night or there were breaks in his schedule.
He could even stop at the bakery on the way home, pick up something to eat after dinner. ]

⇨ mind-reading ; Self-explanatory: He is able to read other people's minds. It should be said he can go pretty far back pretty quickly and memories are there. (He tells Erik that he knows everything about him when they've just barely met.)
⇨ thought-projection ; I am not 100% certain on the correct word for this. Charles is able to share his own thoughts with others. (ex: diving into the ocean, he was able to send Erik his thoughts of "Calm your mind, Erik.")
⇨ surfacing memory ; he is able to not only pull positive memories to the surface (as seen when training with Erik, he brings a childhood birthday to the front of his mind to calm him)
⇨ erasing memory ; is also able to erase memories (as shown by what he did to Moira at the end of canon)
⇨ perception alteration ; he is able to make himself unseen or seen differently by others (shown when he travels to Russia with Moria and Erik and makes them unseen in the back of a truck by soldiers). he is also able to create illusions. this applies to the use of the other senses, as well
⇨ commands ; he is able to issue commands and people will obey with the use of his skill (ie: go to sleep when they are in Russia has an immediate result of -- well, going to sleep). this extends into full-blown mind control/paralysis (he is able to stop Shaw from moving/an entire building of CIA)
⇨ empathy ; he is able to sense mutants, and people, based on their brain wavelengths - it is not gone into full detail to what extent this is, but he can tell who/where people are and Cerebro enhances it

Charles felt Erik's chest rise and fall. "I'm glad." His tone was content and his voice was soft. He was very pleased in the change in Erik. He had noticed a difference in the sleeping patterns compared to when they had first met. Charles moved his free hand over Erik's, his thumb brushing over it for a moment. "Guess it depends on how tired she was when she went to sleep..." Charles slept through it, typically, when she did not. He couldn't honestly answer.

His knuckles were starting to turn white from his grip. He didn't want to - shouldn't want to - tell Erik that he was afraid of what would happen if he stayed there. He never quite understood his motivation for bringing him there.
