Charles let out a startled breath when Erik touched him and checked for a pulse. He could feel Erik there but decided to not say a word to him. He kept his eyes closed, though he knew that the reaction to the touch would make Erik aware that he was awake. He tried to understand his fears himself, and maybe it was his fear that he wouldn't be able to return home at some point. Part of him believed that he truly was stuck here and it was a prison of sorts.
